The Davis Plumbing Story

Everyone loves a good story, so we thought we’d share ours.

The year was 1973. It was the same year that the American Thoroughbred racehorse – Secretariat, won the Kentucky Derby and became the first U.S. Triple Crown champion in 25 years.

Another very significant event took place during this year: Kirk Davis entered the plumbing profession. While this decision in Kirk’s life may not have been as noteworthy to the world as was Secretariat’s performance, it had very significant and lasting results for both Kirk’s family and those businesses and home owners who have been serviced by Kirk and his family.

Kirk started out working for a plumbing contractor for 7 years. After that, he changed direction for a while and became employed with SRP for 10 years. During his time with SRP he continued to perform plumbing work for home owners on the side. With an eye toward his future plans of creating a thriving family business, in 1986 Kirk laid the groundwork for Davis Plumbing & Drain Service and began doing his side work under that business name. Finally, in 1990 Kirk took the final steps to form the business into a corporation and began having his family work with him on a full time basis.

The entire family has grown together under Kirk’s leadership and direction. Each of them take pride and ownership in the success of the business and the quality and professionalism of the work they do.

When Kirk first envisioned a family owned and run plumbing company his two main goals were:

1. To provide for his family the best he could.
2. Create a business environment where, as a family, they could practice the values they had learned together.

Thanks to the loyal residential customers that have used and continue to use Davis Plumbing, as well as the new customers that continue to discover Davis Plumbing, both of those goals have been achieved.

The Davis Plumbing Team

We are a tight-knit family, so it’s only natural that we would want to work together. Because of our many years of working together – even before working professionally together – we’ve developed an uncanny ability to communicate quickly and efficiently with one another. That’s one of the reasons our plumbing work is so fast and efficient.

We can’t read each other’s minds yet, but we’re working on it.

	Kirk Davis – Founder and Owner Kirk is an Arizona native and has been working as a plumber for over 35 years.
	Aaron Davis – Senior Pipe and Drain Technician Aaron has been a plumbing technician for over 18 years. He is also an Arizona native.
	James Davis – After Hours Support Service James answers our phones after hours, if you have an emergency and need after hours service or want to leave a message, he can help you with that.
	Brett Davis – Pipe and Drain Technician Brett is the newest member of the Davis Plumbing team! Brett is a 3rd Generation plumber, he is the son of Aaron Davis, and grandson to owner Kirk Davis. Brett has been plumbing since he was a kid – Brett could change out a toilet by the time he was 11 years old. Brett is very knowledgeable, personable and customers love him.
	Jennifer Davis – Office Manager Jennifer has managed our office for more than 15 years. She is responsible for scheduling, dispatching, and billing. Your first point of contact with Davis Plumbing will most likely be through Jennifer – give her a call!
